One Source Direct Marketing Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy covers One Source Direct Marketings’ treatment of personally identifiable information that is collected when the subscribers agree to receive e-mail advertising messages from One Source Direct Marketing or one of our advertisers. This type of agreement on behalf of a subscriber constitutes a permission based opt-in.
One Source Direct Marketing believes in 100% permission-based marketing and is compliant with the CAN SPAM Act of 2003.
Opt In
In order for a subscriber to be considered opted-in he/she must agree to provide their email address and mandatory personal information to One Source Direct Marketing, including first name, name, postal address and email address. Additionally, the subscribers can volunteer additional personal demographic information, such as age, income, gender, occupation, presence of children and dwelling type. The last step in the opt-in process is the collection of lifestyle preference, which is also optional.
After the initial opt-in, each subscriber receives an automatic responder message (ARM), acknowledging the opt-in and informing them that they would be receiving follow up, online based lifestyles surveys. These surveys act as the 3rd step of the permission-gathering process (2nd level opt-in) and are designed to gather information on each subscriber who decides to participate. The final step is the confirmation of all gathered information against One Source Direct Marketing’s 200 million US consumers and 10 million business postal databases. The postal confirmation acts as a verification tool, making sure that the consumers are truthfully matched to their most current postal address.
Opt Out
You may unsubscribe from any of our e-mail marketing programs at any time. Each email communication sent from One Source Direct Marketing contains at least 2 opt-out vehicles, identified as hyperlinks or physical addresses of the advertisers or list owner. Additionally, our advertising partner may insert an opt-out hyperlink as well. Therefore, not only is opting out seamless and quick, it is also in compliance with the CAN SPAM Act of 2003.
We attempt to process all unsubscribe requests in a prompt fashion. However, after unsubscribing, we cannot guarantee that you will never receive another mailing from us, because we may obtain your e-mail address in the future through a different e-mail marketing program that you have opted into. We can guarantee, however, that if you should ever receive another e-mail communication from One Source Direct Marketing, you will be able to remove your e-mail address via the unsubscribe hyperlink. All opt-out are processed no later than 72 hours after the original request submission.
You can remove yourself from our database at any time. To unsubscribe, simply click the remove link in the first sentence of any One Source Direct Marketing offer. You can also remove yourself from our database at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. Please type “OPT-OUT” in subject line.
